What are you getting your 2.5 yr old for Christmas?
I am starting a wishlist for Jack and have no idea what to get.
I'm so over all of these toys that the thought of more makes my head spin!

I have been thinking about the same thing.
I think I might upgrade Sabrina's dollhouse and get one that is geared more toward 3 and up. I am also looking into some Barbie stuff.
As far as unisex stuff, I am thinking of looking at Land of Nod for some fun things.

So far Connor is getting
-train table
- melissa & doug cookie baking set
-Thomas take along toys (he LOVES this stuff these days)
-Cootie game
-Crayons for bath tub
My parents are getting him a workbench and I am asking my in laws for tonka trucks for him

We had bought DS the Imaginarium train table but I don't remember if you bought that for Jack.
I have no idea what I am going to get DD.
They play with things for a few minutes and literally toss it. Not to mention I still have toys for previous christmas that I forgot was in the basement.

DD was 2.5 for last Xmas. Her big gidt was a play kitchen. she also got:
leappad and books to go with it (she still LOVES this at 3.5)
fingerpaints,smock,large coloring books,play doh and accesories for it
kid tough camera
baby dolls and stroller

I feel the same way. DS still has toys from his birthday we have not opened yet.
DS  musical instruments and has been asking for a violin. He uses his guitar as a violin ever since he saw one a month ago, so I think we are going to get him a violin. He plays his guitar every day.
So far I have purchased three thomas trains, well actually the construction vehicles for thomas.

Melissa and Doug Lacing puzzle
K'nex super grover
Play Dough Lego R2D2 shape maker kit
I think the rest of his list for us and various family members to get him is:
- vaccume
- hess truck or fire truck
- trampoline
- violin
- vehicle that can transport cars and cars for vehicle
- table and chair set

So far we have for her:

We're getting my nephew's Thomas the Train Table and his hundreds of trains (gotta love that hand me down!)

- a watch (she loves them - from my mom)
- a charm for her bracelet
- a few toys that I picked up when Kay-Bee went out of business
- hopefully a babydoll stroller (Secret Santa)
And I too am over the ton of toys. I refuse to get anything else.

What kind of a violin are you planning to get him?
My DS is obsessed with guitars (and basically just loves musical instruments). He has 2 child sized guitars and a ukulele. He saw a violin in a music store and he's been talking about that as well. He would probably prefer something more "real" but they're expensive so we'll probably end up with a toy one.
