What are your ideal bathroom tile colors?
We are thinking of doing a quick redo of one bathroom while our house is on the market. I want to make sure that I appease to the everyday buyer.
TIA
it will be gutted - our current tiles are mint green, gray and pink

Re: What are your ideal bathroom tile colors?
If you are doing this for the buyers I'd make it as neutral as possible. Our tile is light beige and walls are light tan....wainscotting is light ivory, as is the tile floor. But this way, you can brighten up the room with decorations, colored towels, etc. And change it when you get bored!

white - it's more modern. beiges are nice but i think *most* people are moving away from that now.

I am a huge beige fan (practically me whole house is beige) but I like white better in the bathroom because I feel like it gives you more options.

Re: What are your ideal bathroom tile colors?
We went with grey for our new bathroom. I'm sick of beige (even though I redid one bathroom in beige, but I only redid parts of the room, and I had to go with beige to make the rest of the room work). I think beige is too overdone. I also think white is too austere. Plus, I think it's harder to keep clean. With our grey tiles, it's very neutral, so we can go with any color theme we want (like the benefits of white), it is easier to keep clean (like the benefit of beige), and it doesn't look dated (unlike the pinks and mint greens).

i always love a white bathroom, can change the wall color if you want too and add color with accents.

Beige - they can accent it with any color. I know people love Subway tile but I just don't dig it - in bathrooms or kitchens.

Re: What are your ideal bathroom tile colors?
I would go with beiges or grays ... while I love white bathrooms I despise the maintenece ---- hair and dust everywhere. I clean my bathroom every day and there is always a stray hair or dust bunny lurking around the corner - it's so annoying.

I agree...too many people do beige. It's common & typical. White is clean, fresh, & modern right now

Re: What are your ideal bathroom tile colors?
I think beige gives you more possibily to do higher end look. Subway tiles are inexpensive and IMO unless you do a stone like marble ($$$) on the floor with them it can look a little cheap. There are so many beautiful but not super expensive porcelian and ceramic tiles now in the beige family, I think it would result in a bigger bang for the buck.

And i had a bathroom of all white... YUCK!
ETA: it was't done right, however. but, because of that, i'll never do it again.
moral to the story - you will never please all buyers. just have a shiny bathroom!!!
