We always keep it at 73 because im always cold. The only time we set it at 67 is when we are away.

Re: What are your thermostats set for?

68 when we're home and awake

64 while we're out of the house and overnight; usually closer to 66 overnight during the coldest part of the winter

62 for our basement and den (bottom 2 floors) because it's not used consistently. when it is, 70, because it's colder (underground)

70 during the day (DH is retired, so he is home a lot during the day) and 69 at night. I know it's not a big difference but for some reason I feel so hot if we keep it at 70 at night, but am fine with 69 (plus we keep the window cracked open). Also, DH is away right now, so I have it set at 68 since I'm at work

What are your thermostats set for?

on the weekend, we keep it at 65 during the day and 68 at night. we are usually in and out most days, if we are home and it's chilly i turn it up.

during the week (we work), 70 in the early morning hours, down to 62 while we are at work, back to 70 in the evening and 67 at night.

i try to keep it as low as possible and turn it up when needed. saves so much energy that way.

Re: What are your thermostats set for?

70 during day when I am home, if I leave and I know I am going to be out for a while I will turn it down to 62. 62 at night. We have 3 zones, basement is off unless someone is down there for a significant amount of time and upstairs is at 62 during day since no one is in their rooms during the day.

Re: What are your thermostats set for?

Finished basement off.
Front of house 58-60, back of house with all the bedrooms... off unless someone is hanging in a bedroom during the day, then 60.
If it goes below the mid thirties outside, I let a little heat trickle on everywhere just so the pipes won't freeze and use a heater in the garage.
I know we're weird but I hate heat and love snuggly clothes/pjs.

Usually around 70 day and night...only on really cold days I bump it up during the day only because my house is very drafty

Every day................64 during the day (7 am to 10pm) and 62 at night (10pm to 7am).

I hate feeling too warm inside the house and I love to cuddle up under the blankets at night.

Re: What are your thermostats set for?

65 at night - and in the day not much higher because we don't like it to kick on- we turn our pellet stove on and it's our main source of heat.
So the house is actually like 72 degrees plus- but the thermostat is at 65.

We buy one tank of oil in Sept and we dont' buy again until Spring

Re: What are your thermostats set for?

Morning? 68

Weekday? 62

Evening? 68

Sleeping? 65

Weekend? 68

We have a wood stove which keeps it much warmer than 68 in the main area.

ETA: If we are traveling, we put it down to 58-60, depending upon how cold it will be when we are gone.

70 always but I turn it to 68 when DH isn't looking. 70 is way too hot at night.

Re: What are your thermostats set for?

Different zones are on different schedules/temperatures...

All of our bedrooms are upstairs so the heat goes off (set to 62) up there at 8 am. We are up and showered by then. It doesn't turn back on (set to 67) until 5:45 pm (I give DD a bath around 7 so I like to have it on for a while to warm up up there). Then it goes to sleep mode at 10 pm (and that is 65...it would be colder if we didn't have DD) and up to 67 at 5 am in time to heat up before we wake up.

Downstairs is where we spend our time if we aren't sleeping. Heat kicks on down stairs at 6am and is set at 67. It stays at 67 until 10 pm then goes down to 62 for the night.

We rarely adjust it because these temps seem to work for us.
