What brand shoes do you buy?
I have been buying stride rite and have also bought some nike sand shoes just for the summer, but now its coming into fall I need to shop again.
I dont mind buying DD some "fun" shoes for occasional wear but what other brands other than stride rite do you moms consider "safe" ( as in good for every day wear and for their feet) to buy for your kids.

I buy 1 good pair of SR per season for each child, but other than that, all their shoes are all different kinds. I like Osh Kosh shoes for my DS because they are wide enough for his flinstone feet. I have also bought them shoes in Target and Kohls. DD also has a few shoes I ordered online at darlingshoes.com.

Well, I buy my son all kinds of shoes. Emma doesn't wear shoes yet, but I was eyeing some Teeny Toes from payless for her since you can't beat the price. I usually buy for DS Payless, Target, Perry Ellis (at Marshalls), Thom McCann, Stride Rite, and they all seem to work the same  As long as they tie and stay on the foot and are comfy, they work for us! I will say though, Stride Rite shoes do not have arch support so I don't buy them so much anymore unless they are sandals. I emailed them about it one day and I forget their response, but it wasn't anything special.

I always by Stride Rite. unless it for a holiday I usually look for cheaper.

well, DD only just started walking a couple of months ago so this is the first season that she will really need good shoes...
we bought her a pair of stride rites. Along with a pair of sketchers. I figured thats a pretty good name brand and should be ok. (the riverheard outlet had some great sketcher deals!)

Same here. I just got Andy a pair of SR sneakers for $11 and Sarah a pair of black SR Mary Janes for $15 on Amazon yesterday, plus free shipping. I don't care that they are "last season" or whatever.

same here - always nice comfy sneakers for the playground.
I buy a few pairs of SRs each season and one cheaper shoe but still a decent brand name for when we're getting dirty!
