What can I make for Christmas Eve lunch?
We are having over MIL, BIL & SIL around 1:00 Christmas Eve to open presents before we head to his uncle's for dinner. I wanted to make something, but not a full meal. Is it to late to do a brunch? Or should I just have some finger foods?

Re: What can I make for Christmas Eve lunch?
I think 1:00 is a good brunch time.
Or for a lunch suggestion
One year I made these stromboli style sandwiches...
1 Tube of Pilsbury French Loaf 1/2 lb. thinly sliced ham 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 375. On a greased cookie sheet or baking stone, unroll the french loaf so that it is approximately 12" x 14". Place ham slices on dough about 1/2" away from all edges. Spread mozzarella over ham slices. From the short end of the dough, begin rolling the dough back into a loaf, encasing the ham and cheese. Pinch ends shut and place on cookie sheet seam side down. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle parmasan cheese if desired. Bake in oven for 20 - 25 minutes until golden brown. Cool 5 - 10 minutes on a wire rack before slicing.
I made ham with american cheese and roast beef with mozzerella. I had ranch dressing and au jus available for dipping. They were a big hit and super simple!
