What color granite goes with oak cabinets and black appliances -

I HATE my current countertops - it's a really ugly black laminate - shows every water spot and crumb. We have a small kitchen that was redone in the early 90's - I swear the folks that lived here before went with the cheapest of the cheap when it came to the kitchen. I have no idea what color countertops I would want - but I think granite is the way we are going. So any suggestions on what color? the cabinets are Oak and just about all the appliances are black.
