I've seen it at the store and it's definitely red -- not a deep red, but still red nonetheless.

Kate Spade at the outlets usually has a few orange bags, and they have pretty decent sales. You can also get the Tanger coupon book for another 10% or 20% off (I forget which). They are at Riverhead and DP.
