What color shoes go with this dark blue dress?

I keep changing my mind as to what color shoes to get.

I'm usually pretty good at this, but nothing looks right to me.

Any help would be appreciated.


I've already tried silver & pewter colored shoes, but they stood out too much.
This is for a Sunday afternoon, but somewhat formal, early fall wedding.

I had put up some pictures of shoes I am considering, but they colors weren't coming out right, so I edited.

If you didn't like the silver or pewter, go with a darker shoe. Look for something strappy or peep toe with a dark sheen fabric.

(Depending on the actual color of the dress)

The dress is dark blue, but I guess it looks black on some of your screens.
( and I don't want to go monochromatic.)

So strappy is probably better right? I bought these pewter pumps (pic #1) but something is off. Maybe it's just too much, b/c it's so solid.

What about a dark bronze or champagne?

I saw shoes in those colors at 9 west, but the colors are off on the on-line images. I couldn't decide if light or dark went better.

I like these silver ones (Pic #2), but I thougt they might be too bright & shiny.


ETA- Champagne shoes that are more neutral in person (sort of skin tone, but shimmery)

I think Silver goes better with blue than champagne or bronze or gold.

I would wear gold... but it depends on the shoe. Something strappy gives just enough-- without being too flashy.

Now, if I wear gold, do I have to wear gold jewellery?

I think I am going to order a few differerent pairs of shoes & see what what works.

try a darker brown......wear a dark brown beaded necklace and braclet(?) with it so it all fits....Sorry about the spelling
