What color walls
White kitchen, black stainless appliances. What color walls and window valances? Other colors in rooms near the kitchen are a pale yellow that is brand new and a bold red type color that I may change. The kitchen previously was all white including appliances. At first I was considering blue but I don't like it with the appliances. Now maybe pale gray or pale teal. Not sure I like the blend from the red to teal even though they are not in the same room. Thoughts?

Re: What color walls
I would look for a blue with red or purple undertones, or yellow. Yellow plays off of red well. Alternatively, you could keep it white.

What color walls
I have an open floor plan and I've struggled with colors that transition well since you can see my living room and dining room walls from my kitchen. I don't like the reddish and bluish colors near each other...it looks too patriotic for me. How about a strong grey? Something without any undertones...like a cement grey? Warm grey could work also, and tie into the red walls in the other room?? You can always bring more red in with a valance or other kitchen decor.
