What did or does your DC eat at 9 months old
I feel like there is so much despcrepancy between books and docs. wholesomebabyfood.com say ds can have egg yolk but doc says nooo way not till 1 yr old. When does milk start. I mean he is having yogurt already. I want to start new foods and dont know what is right and wrong anymore. I feel like i am doing my son such and in justice.

Re: What did or does your DC eat at 9 months old
we started scrambled eggs (yolk and white) at 9 months.... since he was getting the beechnut jarred breakfasts they already have yoolk in them so my ped said go straight to eggs.. also pancakes, veggies cut small, pizza, chicken nugets cut small, tator tots, mini-pasta... anything we were eating we cut up and had him try....
milk we started at 9 1/2 months sbut that was with the ok of the ped (i was preg again and nursing so she told me to stop for the health of #2 and to just transition to milk instead)

Re: What did or does your DC eat at 9 months old
my DS is 9 mos old. I personally don't follow all those food rules. DS has had eggs, had peanut butter, has had meat, etc. He's thriving and happy. That's all that matters to me.
In fact Saturday, DS ate all table food (only had 2 jars of his food). He even had a half of a half slice of pizza and loved it!!!
Now milk, I'll start at around 11.5-12mos. I cant' wait to be done with formula.

Re: What did or does your DC eat at 9 months old
My DC are 9.5 months and the only things the ped said no to are eggs, shellfish, and peanut butter.
They will eat pretty much anything. I have given them pancakes, waffles, grilled cheese, pasta. They still eat the same foods as before, I just don't puree anymore - like veggies, sweet potatoes, bananas etc. I will cook them until they are very soft and given them small pieces they can mash with their gums. THey love yogurt, this is their lunch every day. They've eaten veggie burgers, matzoh balls, chicken soup.
They each have two little teeth on the bottom, but those aren't helping them do anything, lol.

just wing it. Honestly, I break it up, but DS's mouth makes everything all soggy anyway. He's hands get wet, its gross, but he loves feeding himself. Its a great learning experience.

Re: What did or does your DC eat at 9 months old
At 6 months I started all table foods. My DD ate scrambled eggs (whites and yolks), yogurt, pancakes, french toast, cheese, shredded chicken and turkey, soft fruits and veggies, pasta, bread, etc. Her bottles were still her primary nourishment but in between I got her use to any and all table foods. She loved everything and now that she is on milk and solids are more important throughout the day I have no problem getting her to eat healthy meals because she loves it all!

My DD had NO teeth until 11 1/2 months and had no problem with any foods. The ped. said their ability to gum foods is very strong and they can break down and chew most soft foods. The best way to prevent choking is to feed them soft foods and let them get the practice with gumming, chewing, and swallowing.

Re: What did or does your DC eat at 9 months old
Has your DS eaten any table foods yet? If you're really nervous, try things like puffs, which basically dissolve in their mouth. DS adores cheese. I give him small pieces of pancakes, waffles or french toast sticks for breakfast. He has small pieces of cut up fruit. He also seems to like pastina. Start out with pretty small pieces and see how your DS does.
My pediatrician recommends waiting until 1 year for egg whites and cow's milk.
ETA: DS is 10 months old and still doesn't have any teeth.
