Re: What did you ask for for Mother's Day?
I hinted toward a new digital camera and a digital frame for the slide shows.
DH had jewlery in mind...I'd rather the camera. Mine is falling apart!

Re: What did you ask for for Mother's Day?
Honestly - for my DH to take the kids to his sister's for an overnight. Not Mother's Day of course but another weekend. I just want one whole day and whole night to myself. I suppose it doesnt sound very appealing to the Moms celebrating their first Mother's day but that's where I'm at currently. I don't want to leave, I want to get some things done around here and I never get any time. His sister lives near Albany so the gas cost will equal what he'd spend on a gift.

same here. We are in the midst of my kids birthday's, our 5-year anniversary is today and Mother's day is another added expense, so I am more than happy with a card, and maybe some fres flowers for my dining room table.

I didn't ask for anything so we'll see how that goes. I did come home yesterday to two dozen roses for mothers day though

Re: What did you ask for for Mother's Day?
A super-clean house from top to bottom. All I really want is for the house to be spotless (including DH's crap that he hasn't put away) and maybe the house could stay clean for more than a week. \
Oh yeah, the catch is that I want DH to do it himself and not call a cleaning service

me too. i'm not big on spending $$$ on gifts anyway- if I want something throughout the year, I just buy it.. so usually we do token gifts $20-30

Re: What did you ask for for Mother's Day?
Nothing material...
I asked for DH to make me breakfast (maybe in bed...hmmm) and for him to take care of Jake all day (you know - the feeding, diaper changes, cranky times, etc) so that I can just lounge around, play with him - or not - and maybe go out and get a pedicure.

Re: What did you ask for for Mother's Day?
I didn't ask for anything. I just didn't want to travel all over the place and asked that we have our Mom's over so I can stay home and spend the day with Michael.

I told him no flowers & to quit smoking. Let's hope he listens. As for my kids a card & a nice day is all I need.

Re: What did you ask for for Mother's Day?
Just a card. I think Mother/Father's day is kinda silly. A card is perfect because it acknowledges me and that is more than enough. Growing up we never got gifts for my mom or my grandmothers. It was always flowers and a card.

Re: What did you ask for for Mother's Day?
I didn't want to have to ask for anything, but DH is kind of clueless and kept asking me wjat I wanted, so I told him a locket would be nice.

That sounds like the best gift ever!! I wish Steve would do the same, but his sister lives in Bellmore and he'd be back in 2 hours.
See ya later!!
