what do I do with toys and stuffed animals , where do I donate?
I have big bags of clothes and shoes and a bag of old toys, mostly stuffed animals ... I called few churches around here, they'll take the clothes and will pick up tomorrow , but not toys. So what do I do with them, I really don't want to throw them in the garbage, some of them are still new

Where do you live? I donate to a church near me that takes everything--clothes, toys, furniture. Or you could post on the Parenting board--someone could use them there I'm sure.

I just finished chairing my temple rummage sale today. We were able to donate the left over toys, clothing and books to both Big Brothers, Big Sisters and the Salvation Army. Neither organization would take bouncers or baby swings but they did take all other toys.

www.cheerfulgivers.org will take like new and good condition toys to put in birthday bags they give to kids living in homeless shelters.
they are based in MN so you would have to ship them.

Oh and we live in Queens. I called 3 different churches and they all declined the toys.
