Re: what do i expect my at my first appt?
I don't go to Cornell, but my first RE visit went something like this
Met with the RE for about an hour. He went though my medical history, looked at my records I had sent over from my OB's office. We talked about my cycles, and what course of action we would take. I also had about 17 vials of blood taken, a sono and exam. DH had about 7 or 8 vials of blood taken. And he was told to make an appointment for a SA to be done.
We then met with the nurse, then the financial department. We were there for about 2.5-3 hours.
My RE would not start a new cycle with me until all my bloodwork came back and the results of my PAP and cultures he took.

Re: what do i expect my at my first appt?
I think it depends on where you go and what your history is.
Mine was not that comprehensive.
DH and I first met with the RE for about an hour to discuss our medical history. Then he did a sono and then took a whole lotta blood! I didn't have a pap and DH had no blood taken or an SA. My guess is bc I got PG so quickly when we started TTC in December that they figured DH was fine. Unfortunately the PG was ectopic. I also have a problem with my hypothalmus. I ovulate only a few times per year making it nearly impossible to time intercourse properly.
Good luck!!

Re: what do i expect my at my first appt?
Hi, just had my consult with Cornell last week. I've done a ton of testing b/f (2 failed IVF's) and they are taking all my tests and I just have to do a few others that I had not done before. However, I have to repeat the HSG, since I had lap surgery after my last one.
We had the consultation first then I had an internal sono and they ran one test that takes 3 weeks to get results.
Tip: if you have insurance coverage for anything, like testing, I suggest you just get a script from your new RE and go to an in network lab to save money. That is what I am doing. Lightbulb went off in my head while in the office. Some RE's there do take some insurance, though I have no idea how they work that.
Let me know if I can help you with any specific questions.
And good luck!!!!
