What do I say when I call a pediatrician's office?

Since I am on bedrest and can't do interviews, i am going on recommendations. I'm pretty sure I have chosen a practice, but what do I say when Icall?

"I'm pregnant, how do I sign up?"

Im so glad you asked. I have one picked out (rec from my OB) and have yet to call. Im stumped.

I was worried too at first when I was PG with DS.

Most of them have the interviews with the parents.

Just tell them you are PG and looking for a PED and if they do have meetings with parents. If you are on bedrest you could ask for a phone conference.

They usually have their speech ready. They tell you how they work, views on vaccination, when to come after babies are born, what hospital they are affiliated with, etc... Then you can ask questions on what they did not cover.

Just tell them your soon to be new parents and looking for a pediatrician and would like to set up a time to come in and take a look and talk to your office.
