What do I wear on TV?
Ok, random question, I know... but we're going to be on TV for a show on HGTV... filming starts in exactly three weeks and I was thinking of shopping for some new clothes for our "tv appearance" but I have no idea what to get... the parts of the taping that will include us is when we introduce ourselves and our ugly bathroom, a little bit of demolition, some shopping with the hostess (while hubby works with the carpenter) and the finale where they show us the finished product. So, what would you wear???

OMG I am SO excited for you!!  you HAVE to let us know when your show will air 
I would wear nice jeans and a cute top, cords and a sweater, trousers and a sweater... any of those.

Go with color!! You have to stay away from white on TV - scientific reasoning is it off balances the camera. Good luck - that's great!!!!

No patterns... certain patterns tend to "crawl" on TV.
Definitely solid colors...something that complements your skin tone for a top, and some cute jeans that show off your "I lost the baby weight" body
And if you can, ask someone from the show for suggestions... maybe they will hook you up with their stylist!

Definitely solid colors... nothing too crazy. I would hit up Ann Taylor Loft... they definitely have what I would consider "camera ready" clothes that don't make you look too stuffy. When is the show going to be on?!?!

Ok, so, no crazy patterns, no white, nice color tops that match my skin tone, and jeans or cords for bottom... CHECK. Now for some shopping fun! I can justify spending mula considering how much money we're saving on the renovation, right?! 
Edited to say - filming is from Nov. 14-29th, and from what I understand, the show will air sometime in the spring, probably february/march-ish. Trust me, I'll let everyone know when it airs!

I always heard not to wear red on TV too. I would go for Khaki pants and a nice shirt or sweater.
