What do you apply before putting on eye shadow?
I bought a primer and also put on some of my cover up before putting on eye shadow, but I feel I am missing something before I apply eyeshadow. Is there a base cover up for eyes? It just never seems to look right.

What do you apply before putting on eye shadow?
I use an under eye concealer or a tinted moisturizer. The best thing I use is a lid primer. I use Urban Decay. The primer I currently have is tinted so sometimes I just use that. Maybe it's your eye shadow you don't like? Lorac is a good brand. So is Mac and Urban Decay.

An eye specific primer works better than concealer. I like Urban Decay Primer potion, because I feel it makes shadow last the longest on my oily lids. They have tinted ones, but they didn't work as well for me.
If you just want to even out the color of your lid, you can use a base like Stila Prime Pot or Mac Paint Pot. Some people use these as a primer, but for me, they don't make the eye shadow stick enough for me. They are good for evening out color though.
For a dark look, or a bold color, you can use a colored base, like a MAC Prime Pot in a darker color, or a Maybelline Color Tattoo (They come in bright colors taht hte others don't.)
They are like cream shadows, but a little drier.
I also find that for light colors, a white base helps, so I either use NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk or Mayebelline Color tattoo in Too Cool.

What do you apply before putting on eye shadow?
I use Urban Decay Primer and then apply eye shadow. The primer really makes your shadow stay put the whole day.

Thanks so much!
I have urban decay primer. I don't use it all the time. But I think I am more looking for something that does what coverup for your face does, even out skin tone as opposed to what the primer does.

Urban Decay Primer Potion comes in a few shades. There are two shimmery shades, one that dries sheer, and one that has more coverage, almost like a concealer. I would go to Sephora and test them out.

I use simple concealer prior to applying shadow. It works and last all day.
