What do you do during your lunch break?

Well I normally use to work through lunch, every now and then meet someone or DH downstairs. But lately I have been rushing off to the gym and it has been great. It is a hugh inconvience, and I am literally still in the shower while I am getting redressed, and I run back to my desk. But I love not having that I gotta go to the gym guilt after work. Also gives me a boost of energy at the end of the work day.

I used to go to the gym at lunch at my old firm, because they were very liberal and I could push it to 1.5 if need be (and then just work 1/2 hr OT) Here I could never manage the gym and showering and be back in 1 hr .. and we are only 2 girls to a group of attorneys so we really have to cover each other..

BUT these days, I find myself eating lunch at my desk and just working or chatting online/catching up with friendsby email ...OR going shopping at lunch.

I rarely go out to lunch with my friends anymore .. esp. since I'm on a diet. But I miss that , its just so hard to coordinate

Sometimes I go to lunch with co workers, sometimes I shop, sometimes I take a quick smoke break then go back up and surf the internet.

i eat, but rarely in the office. or i eat quickly and leave to walk, go to the library or window shop.

All of the above- but not smoke break. Sometimes I shop (like today and yesterday). Sometimes I meet friends (like tomorrow) sometimes I stay at my desk.

I'm always here in the office...but I do get an hour break. When I need to I'll run to the nail salon and get my nails doen like I did today.

I run a lot of errands, some drugstore shopping, post office, bank, etc. I like to get our of the office at least once during the day and if I don't get out on work-realted stuff, I like to get out at lunch.

I am glad for the gym also, downstairs I spent so much money at the Eckerds. I have no idea on what. Magazines, hair stuff, cards...

then the gap, ann taylor, and banana are all there too. That was why I started staying at my desk.

I usually go out and take a walk at the very least, go shopping, errands, etc.

When its nice I read outside on some steps where a ton of people eat lunch.

I usually go out for 45 minutes, then eat at my desk for the remaining 15 while on the internet.

Ive always wanted to do the gym thing, and my workplace is very liberal but there is no way I could ever pull it off between lotioning up after the shower, reapplying makeup, fixing up hair, etc.

I do not like to sit at my desk and eat lunch unless i am super busy. Too many interruptions.

I usually find somewhere with my work friends to eat or we go out to eat. Or I go shopping.

MWF I go and get weighed. Tues/Thurs, I try to get some shopping done with co-workers.

my friend and I take a walk or go to the cafeteria with our other coworkers

i go home and have lunch with DH, watch some TV, lay on the couch for a little, sometimes i leave a little earlier so that i can check a few things on the internet before my lunch break is over

We have a lounge. I get 30 mins. I eat and read the paper.

Sometimes I go shopping , sometimes I just sit in the car and read a book or in the lounge read a book, or sit at my desk and chat. We only get 45 minutes.

Check homework, plan, etc. but on Fridays, I go out with another teacher!

in the caferteria since i work in one. and i also get a 30 minute break.

Generally I eat at my desk and work. On a rare occasion meet a friend for lunch, manicure/pedicure, wax, eyebrow thread, shop but that's about it.

Then I go back in and work/eat with the other teachers on my grade

I get less than 40 minutes for lunch. I eat as fast as I can, then I try to get some work done before I pick my students up from recess. It is not a relaxing time.
