what do you do when (gift related)....
Someone tells you they want something for the holidays that is more than you wanted to spend on them?

Get them a gift cert for the place they can buy the item and let them know that you are giving it to them to put toward their desired item.
This way, your being very thoughtful to the person your getting the gift for AND your wallet.

A gift card is a great idea. Another suggestion would be to purchase something related like an iTunes GC if they wanted an iPod.
