Ryan's pretty into fairy tales. He especially likes Little Red Riding Hood. After reading it the other night I asked what mistake did she make.
He said, "she told the wolf about her house" (meaning grandmother's)
I further explained, yes, we don't talk to strangers and we especially don't tell them about our house.
He then asks, "well the woodsman was a stranger too, right Mommy".
Umm, yep, he was. But he helped her. So there goes the moral of that story

I would tell him that the woodsman is like a Police Officer or a Fireman.. they are there to help.

Ditto. Red also didn't talk to the woodsman. He came into the house and opened up the wolf to allow them to escape (similar to what a fireman would do, but with houses, not wolves... )

Maybe a uniform or a badge (like a policeman)?
Otherwise, "because I said so" always worked when I was growing up

Oh, this version (fisher price) she does. She escapes the wolf, runs away from him and goes to the woodsman for help.
