What do you do with your old greeting cards?

I just had my baby shower and I feel bad throwing some of these cards away.

Do you keep any greeting cards? If so, how do you store them?

You can use them in a scrapbook, which is what I always plan to do, but really they just sit in a box. Someday.....

I have them in plastic boxes. I can't get myself to throw them away.

I used to save them until my apartment ran out of storage room. then I realized that there really is no need to save them.

Now, I only save from like my mom or sister if they have a nice note.

I keep them for a few short weeks and then throw them out..

Hence, I hate giving them and hate receiving them - Hallmark gets my $4 everytime!

I've saved a handful of cards over the yrs. I just don't see a reason to keep them all.

I save them for a little while and than throw them out. My family gives cards for EVERYTHING and I just have no room to keep them all.

Garbage Can!!

I think its a waste. I will only buy cards from the 99 cent rack, because I think that most people don't care either, unless its an important event (wedding, etc)

I refuse to fund Hallmark.. 5.00 for a piece of paper, no thanks.

you are going to laugh, i still have evry card from my communion up to now.. I keep them all in a box.

Before kids, I saved all of them. I'm sloooooooowly sorting and tossing tons now, but I'm glad I saved the ones from my Dad b/c he's gone. I'm keeping all of the cards the boys get, for what, I don't know.

I keep a few. Mostly the ones that have more than just a happy birthday love such and such. My mom wrote me a beautiful note in one mothers day card that I keep near my computer.

I keep all the cards that my DS gives me and the Halmark cards that have the music. I keep them in a under the bed tupperware.

I keep ones that mean a lot to me.

Each of my sons has a 'keepsake kit'. There are cards from people that mean a lot to me from showers, birthdays, etc.. There are also blankets, first teeth, first curls, a Christmas ornament for each year of their life that I made for them and now school work and report cards. I will give the whole kit and caboodle to them one day.. and let them decide what to do with them.

As to cards that I receive for myself.. it depends. I have every card my husband has ever given me. Sometimes when I am mad I pull them down and look through them. Some I tuck into my journals. Some are so pretty I have framed them and they are in my office.

Others hit the garbage.

FOr all special occassions ( shower, graduations, etc) i put them in a scrap book - all others i keep in a box. I am a sentimental person and I like having them. Everyonce in awhile I look through the old cards when i am in an organizing mood.
