what do you give DH for lunches during the week?

I seem to give him ham/provolone and turkey/colby jack all the time with the occassional tuna or chicken salad. I want to change it up a bit, what do you give your DH for work lunches?

salami & provolone

He loves left over stir Fry and actaully like it cold

Lft over steak from dinner-Makes a steak sandwich

Granola Bars

Rob packs his own lunch. Always the same thing.

Chobani yogurt (blueberry, raspberry or pomegranate)
Plain Grilled Chicken Breast OR 2 Hard boiled eggs.
Apple
A baggie of cashews

He's very keen on eating lean.

Ham & Cheese or Roast Beef and cheese
Snacks: mozzarella cheese stick, sunchips, banana, orange, granola bars

Or he'll just have leftovers from the night before

I guess I am a rotten wife...I have never even thought of giving him anything. LOL> When he wants left overs for lunch he packs them.

I pack him leftovers from dinner so it is always varying.

It might be penne alla vodka, or pasta with meatsauce, or a buffalo chicken salad, or eggplant parm, or chicken parm, or meat in a mushroom gravy over mashed potatoes, etc.

Each leftover includes, meat (protein), potatoes or pasta or chips (carbs), and vegetables.

I try to give him homemade cupcakes, cookies, brownies, and other random treats but he just likes the leftovers as his meal and doesn't want to bring snacks to work.

he likes 1/2 wraps better.. so some combos

mozz, evoo, greens, avocado
roast beef, coleslaw, thousand island dressing
tuna or chicken salad
turkey, mustard, provolone, greens

if i make something that can be tossed into the wrap the night before, then i put that.. falafels, roast chicken (shredded)..

so 1/2 wrap, a snack - fruit, jello, sunchips and bottle of water

Nothing, he makes his own lunch! I do all the food shopping and cooking. He knows where stuff is so he can put something together.

He usually has a sandwich, whatever Boar's Head is on sale that week, or I switch it with tuna, chicken, or egg salads like you said.

Or leftovers, but many days he needs lunch AND dinner, in which case he gets a sandwich AND leftovers.

Snacks are always: peaches, a string cheese, a trail mix bar (for breakfast really), and a container of smart pop. Sometimes a pudding. (Half of which he takes in his sponge bob tupperware containers )

When I need to give him a break of sandwiches, I make cold pasta salad super super simple and cheap:

1 box barilla whole grain pasta spirals, cooked and drained
2-3 chicken breasts, grilled or boiled, and cubed (seasoning optional, usually some italian seasoning or balsamic)
1 pint of grape tomatoes
1 can of olives
1 big bottle of wishbone robusto italian dressing

Mix all with a moderate coating of dressing. Pack into 4 - 5 containers. I add more dressing the day he's eating it.

I've also thrown in marinated artichokes or cubed mozz if we have it.

Leftovers or we get coldcuts on Sundays for the week. What I started doing is making sauce or soup, I usemy crockpot, and freeze it in the containers for the week. He gets Baked Ziti, chicken soup. I just made Chicken Cacciatore. Everyone at his job is jealous because of all the delicious meals I make.

lettuce and tom with very littl mayo
on high fiber bread

baby carrots
banana
apple

a BIG salad
apple
banana
granola bar
raisins
eggs or a bagel for breakfast
strawberry's
grapes
pretzels

a combo of the some of the things above.

Dh only eats bologna and cheese or PB&J. So I've been alternating them.

He won't bring leftovers to work so that's out.
