What do you have on your non-carpeted stairs?
I'm looking for stair treads or something to put down on my wooden staircase. I wasn't planning on putting anything down until my poor little doggie slipped and fell (poor pup!)
Any ideas as to what I can do besides stair treads or where to buy stair treads?

I haven't really seen any treads that I find aesthetically pleasing so I'm no help there.
What about a stair runner? lululu posted a photo of her hallway with one - it looks great!

I didnt put anything my stairs either but the only thing I would consider is a stair runner.
You can get them from Home Depot or any carpet store.

we had a runner made after both my mom and I fell down the stairs....I hate uncarpeted stairs...they are so dangerous IMO

We dont have anything on our non-carpeted stairs. We had them finished- and we cant find anything that we like to go on them. I cant tell you how many times DH has lost his footing and fell down them! Good thing its only 6 steps!

We don't have anything on ours right now but with the kiddies on the way, I'm planning on putting in a runner within the next year.
I hate, hate, hate vacuuming carpet on the stairs... did I say hate? so I'm avoiding it as long as possible.
ETA: We have a brand new stair case for the basement stairs... oak treads with pine risers painted white (just like the main staircase)... I'll probably just put the single carpet pieces on those... nothing facy it will just be a playroom/music studio down there.
