I have him listed as ICE & then his name - which supposedly stands for IN CASE OF EMERGENCY.

I have heard that, but the contacts section specifically has three entries labeled as EMERGENCY and they are the first three that show up when you go into contacts all by default in the phones settings. I thought it was a nice feature.
Ive also heard of putting an entry called ICE and that emergency personnel know that means "In Case of Emergency"
DH is just in there as Ed.

i have mine as "1hisname ICE" so that he is the first number.
"ICE" for "in case of emergency"

You guys are so smart with your tricks to get DH listed as the first contact in your list! In all the years we've been together, I've never thought of that. Thanks!
My rather boring answer to the OP's question is: his first name, but his picture that pops up is a photo of him on the telephone so I imagine it's what he looks like at that very moment.

for safety reasons, you should have people in your cell phone labeled "MOM", or "DAD" or "HUSBAND" so if there is ever any kind of emergency.. then if emergency workers, etc see your cell they know who to contact.
I label my dh as husband for this reason

Mine used to be.
Now he is Husband.
ETA- I never read that anywhere, but I did do it for the same reasons.
I also have Mom & Dad, Mom, and Dad. (Home, cell, cell)
