i didnt have it but i think they can tell if you have ovulated or not yet for the month

Oh thank you so much!! I know as much as Snowflake wrote. I know its to check if you O'ed but i dont get why its THAT date when so many women have long cycles (like me). Im on cd19 and STILL dont have a +opk

They are checking your progesterone levels. If you O'd they'd be able to tell, if you haven't O'd they should be able to get an idea of when you might O based on your progesterone level

They will probably also test LH to see if you are close to surging.

My dr. had me take the test at 7dpo regardless of what cd is was (it was cd30something when I went)... I was charting at the time.
