Re: What do you marinate your steaks in?
We just roll it in Cracked Black Pepper.
ETA: we usually buy whole filets, not precut steaks.

Re: What do you marinate your steaks in?
Soy Garlic Steak.. (so delicious) INGREDIENTS: 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1/4 cup soy sauce 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar 2 tablespoons ketchup 2 tablespoons crushed garlic 1 1/2 pounds flank steak DIRECTIONS: In a small bowl, mix vegetable oil, soy sauce, vinegar, ketchup, and crushed garlic. Place flank steak in a large resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over steak. Seal, and marinate in the refrigerator at least 3 hours. Preheat grill for high heat. Oil the grill grate. Place steaks on the grill, and discard marinade. Cook for 5 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.

Re: What do you marinate your steaks in?
We only use rubs on steaks. I know kosher salt is one of the things DH puts on them.

Re: What do you marinate your steaks in?
I chop up some garlic, shallots, add them to some wostershire sauce, a little bit of olive oil. Sometimes I'll throw a teaspoon or so of mustard in. sprinkle some grill seasoning onto the meat let sit overnight, or sometimes I'll prepare it in the morning.
Once in a blue moon I'll buy the bottled marinades.

Whats this?
It's a marinade you can get at Costco..it's Soy/Teriyaki based. I use it on flank steaks, chicken..etc..
The only thing I add is crushed garlic cause I like to reek of it.
It's really good. Really good.

Italian dressing. Sounds weird, but tastes good.
I also got a Peppercorn marinade at the supermarket that is really good.

Re: What do you marinate your steaks in?
Our new favorite is this E-Z bag marinade by Jack Daniels. We love the garlic & herb.
If I don't have that, my old stand by is garlic powder, fresh ground black pepper, and terayaki sauce. McCormick's also makes a good steak seasoning that I use.
