Re: what do you set your thermostat to for A/C
Ours is ususally at 66-68... The only issue we've come across so far is the upstairs being warmer than the downstairs... damn that whole heat rising, cold falling BS... Not sure what to do...

I had the same problem.
Told my CAC guys to come back and add more supplies upstairs. Was much better afterwards. In fact with the added supplies upstairs, the upstairs would stay a little cooler than the downstairs.

I dont really know, LOL. We started out with it on 66 but then I've slowly been raising it because Im getting too cold. Bu then DH will come home and lower it. So I guess I'll say between 66-72.

Did it cost a fortune to do this?

Re: what do you set your thermostat to for A/C
During the day our CAC is set around 73-74 for downstairs and upstairs about the same except if we are up there I lower it to like 71-72. We have a 2 zone CAC. At night the downstairs is set at like 75-76 and upstairs it is set at 74-75.

Re: what do you set your thermostat to for A/C
It's usually set at 76, but I find myself bringing it down to 74 lately, especially at night.

75 at night, 80 during the day. other people in the house like it very warm. so we have a fan on also in some bedrooms.

That's roughly what we do, too. At night, downstairs is about 78, and upstairs always stays at 74. During the day, both zones are 74.

Re: what do you set your thermostat to for A/C
We have a dual CAC system.
Upstairs during Day: 80 Downstairs during Day: 77
Late Afternoon/Evening: 75 for downstairs; 77 upstairs
Evening: 77 downstairs; 75 upstairs
Plus we have an attic fan installed to help remove the heat from upstairs.
Sometimes, I have turned it down to 74, but the house has remained cool and only goes on about 2-3 times when we get home at night.

Re: what do you set your thermostat to for A/C
We have a ranch that keeps the cold/heat really well. It's usually on 74-75. If it's really hot we'll bring it down to 73 but for a little while b/c the house gets toooo cold if we leave it at that temp.
