my mom does the insurance claims for a doctor in Hauppauge and is their office manager- she has been there for about 16 years- before that she was a SAHM and opened her own children's clothing business out of the house- before she had me she worked in NYC at the stock exchange -what her exact role was I am not sure..
something my mom did pt in the past was a perfume lady at Macy's- she did this for some extra holiday money and she really liked it-she worked with Estee Lauder

Receptionist for a medical office. She was a nurse before having children, but then was a SAHM for 20 years. She just got back into the job force about 3.5 years ago.

My mom is an RN but when she retires next year she will probably work at Michael's r something since she has always wanted to be an interior decorator. What are your mom's interests? That's where she should work (if $$$$ is not too much of an issue because most PT jobs do not pay too much unfortunately).

She watches my son and niece for us!
She used to work for an import company that imported cocoa and coffee.

my parents work together- they own a garden center...
but, before my mom started working with my dad she was a bookeeper part time ( she has her accounting degree), she also worked part time at AC Moore for awhile, and she liked that- discounts on craft stuff! LOL
i also have a couple friends who work at starbucks part time and LOVE it- they enjoy seeing all the customers, and you get to know the regulars, plus even for part tmie if you work a certain amount of hours you get benefits, which is nice...

My mom works at AG Edwards brokerage firm & p/t she works at Barns & Noble. She loves it there and they too offer benefits for P/T'ers.
