What does everyone think of a progress thread?
I'm just curious because sometimes it gets hard for me to keep up w/ everyone's IUIs, IVFs, and other procedures. I'm not always sure what stage everyone is at so I thought it might helpful....
I'll start - Met with RE, have had all my bloodwork done, had an HSG, DH is going for his SA next week, we meet with the RE late July to discuss everything. Findings so far: borderline high FSH and possible blocked tube
Baby dust to all of us!

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
Great idea and I agree, I can't always remember what is going on with everyone.
Me, still trying the old fashion way and will until Sept or Oct. If nothing happens by then, I'll look into moving forward with testing. Currently, I'm in my 2ww but I don't chart so I'm not 100% positive of when I o'ed. We'll see what happens.

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
OK I'll play - although I think Ive posted this so many times you ladies are sick of hearing it.
DH and I have blood work Sat 7/9, DH lso has his SA the same day. Mon 7/11 I have my 4th appt with my RE for another sono so we can see where we are as far as ovulation and starting the IUI.
My right tube is completely blocked and my uterus is tilted...and I have cervical stenosis. All blood work is coming back good so far, ditto for tests.

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
Sounds like a good idea! I'm not on here much because of work, so it'd help to have one place to go to so I can catch up on everyone.
Update on me - HSG and bloodwork is done (slightly elevated FSH), DH did his SA, so I have an appointment with the doc on the 18th to talk about the next steps. I'm due to O this Tuesday.....

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
Not much going on here...
Just had my 6th failed IVF
Still waiting to talk to my RE (haven't called him yet).
We will most likely take the summer off to concentrate on moving and fixing up our new house, and then try again in the fall...

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
Hi everyone
Am in my 1st month of charting. Right now I'm 3 DPO. We BD day before I ovulated so we have an OK chance.
So I guess I'm in my first official 2ww

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
On CD10, should O sometime between Mon & next Mon... however, DH is causing me stress with our move (to a new apt on the 15th), so it might be delayed this month.
Currently still on a break from TTC, but back on that "whatever happens, happens" bit. This is my 4th month charting... and we were unofficially TTC for about 2 months.

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
Donna this is a great idea for a thread
We have been TTC (more of the "whatever happens happens" variety) since last July, but got serious about TTC in March '05. In a nutshell, I don't even KNOW what my 'status' is currently. My main issue is vastly irregular cycles and I just do not think I have been ovulating the past 2-3 months at all. Also I have endometriosis that was successfully removed in January and of course the 'plan' was to get PG before allowing the endo to return!
After my 57 day cycle last month I went back to my OBGYN who told me she hoped that annovulatory cycle was a 'fluke' and that I should give charting/OPKs another few months to see if I am ovulating. If nothing happenes the next few cycles, she wants me back to the RE by September.
I'm currently at CD27. When I am "regular" my cycles are usually 40-45 days long. This month I have been charting/using OPKs & my Clear Blue monitor - but unless I totally missed something I cannot say I noticed if I ovulated. Either that, or I still MAY ovulate..
The charting software on Fertility Friend put my coverline at 97.1 and have me ovulating on CD13...in which case I *may* be 14DPO.. I never got any surge or any peak reading on my Clear Blue monitor.. nor had any other "signs" of ovulation... the darn Clear Blue monitor had me a "high fertility" for OVER 1 week but I never hit peak!!
Here is my chart - its just not adding up to me

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
Great Idea!!
Okay, we have been TTC for 9 months now. Diagnosed with PCOS, DH's SA was normal. We just had a failed first IUI with Clomid and are moving on to a second round with a higher dose of Clomid. After that, it will be IUI's with injectibles. No IVF for us, insurance doesn't cover it.

Rose, my appointment is 7:45! Mineola office. I'm hoping I get out of there ASAP because I have to catch my train into NYC for work...and be at work by 9:30!
I'm having blood drawn (again) and another sono to see how my follies are growing in preparation for my IUI.

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
I think you are all probably sick of hearing about me but here it goes.
DH and I officially started trying on our honeymoon (although we did whatever happens happens kind of thing for two months before the wedding). I have suffered 5 losses and have been diagnosed with PCOS and mild ovulatory dysfunction. DH had a SA and all came back fine for him.
We tried clomid but my body did not react to it at all so we moved on.
Yesterday I had my first IUI after taking both clomid and injectables (repronex), I took my trigger shot tuesday night which led me to the insemination yesterday morning at 10am.

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
Hello Everyone!
DH and I have been unoffically trying since November (right after the wedding). We have offically been trying since Feb. No luck so far. This is my first month of charting and using OPK. As per FF, I am 3DPO - so we have our fingers crossed.
Baby Dust to everyone.

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
Great idea!!
I'm in a bit of limbo right now. I'm on CD 92 - no signs of ovulation or AF or pregnancy.
Doctor (just regular OBGYN) thinks I'm not ovulating. Got tons of blood work, an ultrasound and DH got a SA.
I go to the doctor on Monday to see what the results are of all of those and what he recommends.

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
For me - did 3 cycle of Clomid with IUI. Got pregnat with first cycle, but miscarried at 11 weeks. Did second cycle of IVF last month - got pregnant, but was a "late/bad" implantation and miscarried again soon after. Now, we are taking the summer off, focusing on losing the fertility drug weight, and taking the what ever happens, happens approach. Need to get my head back on straight after all the disappointment before I can go through anything again.

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
Well, I guess I will go. Come August it will be 2 years of TTC I have unexplained infertility. Nothing wrong with me or DH. I am on my 4th IUI using Letrizole and Bravelle injections. Im in my 2 ww now. If this doesnt work, RE is going to just do injectables.

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
Ok...my turn....
We tried for about 10 months with the whatever happens happens route...no luck. My OBGYN sent me for the HSC and some bloodwork....my HSC came back abnormal, so she sent me to an RE. Basically, I only have 1 tube/1ovary...and a unicorn like uterus. They said 1 side never formed...so it's shaped oddly. RE sent me for an IVP because he wanted to verify something things from the HSC...turns out I only have 1 kidney too....so everything on the right side is missing.
We have done 2 cycles of IUI (should get AF by tomorrow) using chlomid. I went to RE yesterday because I wanted to go to injectables, but he wants me to stay on the chlomid 1 more cycle and gave me estrogen to thicken my endo lining. The injectables have a higher increased rate of multiples...and being that I have a small narrow uterus, he doesn't want me have multiples...not even twins, so he wants to see if the estrogen and thicker lining will do the trick.
Wow...sorry so long

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
We wanted to begin ttc March 2004 but my gyno thought it was better to put me on the bc pill to see if that would regulate my VERY irregular periods. I took the pill until January 2005 and I was getting af every 30 days like clockwork. Hoping that it would remain the same, I stopped the pill in January and it was the last period I have gotten.
Went back to my gyn and she wanted me to go for an hsg test but I wasnt comfortable with that since no updated blood work was taken, no sonogram or anything else was looked into. I told her about my concerns and am now going for an internal sonogram next week. I have FINALLY made an appointment with Dr. Saketos (re) which I feel scared and good about at the same time. I dont have many other symptoms of things besides just not getting my period. I am going on 7 months now with nothing. I took 2 days of provera 2 weeks ago, and wound up getting my period a week later which my gyno says is a good sign.
I havent had a great experience with my doctor so I am hoping an re will be able to tell me whats wrong and get us pregnant! Will keep you updated!
Good luck to all!

Re: What does everyone think of a progress thread?
Hello everyone, well we have been trying "unofficially" since March 05. I basically have an underactive thyroid and NEVER get my periods. I take Provera to bring it on every 2 months. I cant go back to the doctor till I lose 15 more pounds and let me tell you this last 15 is killing me.
