What does it mean when a newborn cries...
In his sleep. Then stops. Then cries again ( like few second stints). Could they be in pain? A bad dream? Uncomfortable??

I find with Alex he is just uncomfortable. He'll wiggle and cry for a quick second then he's content once he gets into a position he's comfortable in or he had gas and let it out.

I'm not sure...could just be their brains developing, but i also read that they spend 50% of their sleep time in REM sleep (adults are only 25%). DD will make a boohoo face, smile, then the boohoo face again. I can't help but laugh!
A woman in a store saw DD doing this once and told me that her mother used to say that it was the angels playing with them.
