What does it mean when the baby drops?
Is it just a natural thing at a certain point?
I have been carrying VERY high and today I woke up and honestly felt unpregnant for a bit, my stomach was sooo flat and I show DH and hes like, WOW...the baby dropped down.
Now I have heard people saying this, but never knew what it meant...LOL
Im assuming it means nothing, just natural progress....IT doesnt mean labor will start sooner rather then later right? ( thats the paranoia in me speaking..)
Thanks! I'm 32 weeks BTW.

It means he is getting in position. But he can stay there for like, ever. Christopher has been down low since about 33 weeks or so.
He can move back up too...no big deal

Its when the baby descends into the pelvis a bit...
Ive personally never dropped...but I know that depending upon the position of the baby can make a ton of difference in how you feel..

Baby dropped at 26 wks. I am carrying low. Lots of pressure.
Cervix was fine at 28 wks with no contractions.

I could breathe easier when the baby dropped - he/she was no longer living up in my ribs.

Thats how I was too. I havent been up and moving around too much today so I cant say if its helped, but it feels weird....My belly looks like it dropped many inches down and now I want to kinda carry my lower belly when I walk...LOL
