What else can we put around our flowerbed besides railroad ties?
DH thinks it will be too much money to replace the railroad ties with more railroad ties.
What else can we use?
TIA

They have various styles of brick or slate which look nice.

blocks that you stack to make beds & walls are inexpensive. I have a couple of beds with stacked slate holding them up. It depends how high they are too.

I know that lowes had a sale on bricks last year, the retaining wall ones and it only cost us $100 to do one flower bed in front of our house.

I have bamboo fencing around one of my lily beds and it withstood a few seasons but it could probably be replaced this year.
I'm actually thinking of getting that black plastic professional landscaping edging. I'm probably leaving this place in less than a year, so I want something I can pull out easily and take with me.
