What favor did you get at the last wedding you attended? Was it useful or did it get tossed (or eaten?  )

What favor did you get at the last wedding you attended?
Unless it's food or drink we either leave it there or it gets tossed.
Favors are a big waste of money 99% of the time.

I have never kept or used a non-edible wedding favor.
The last wedding I went to had a donation favor, which I am not a fan of either.

I agree I am all for an edible favor. I know I too have not been to a wedding in a few years. I got a Save the Date for one for October and am looking forward to it!

im not always a fan of favors... so at our wedding in may we did a donation (left a bookmark explaining it if people wanted it) and we did bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches at the end of the night which people LOVED. i knew it would be a hit, but it was even better than we expected lol!

What favor did you get at the last wedding you attended?
The last couple of weddings I attended they bride & groom donated money to their favorite charity in lieu of favors.
I also did the same thing for my wedding, when I polled people they all said favors suck LOL!
An ice cream scooper was the best favor we had received at a wedding.

I personally won't eat edible favors - I have issues.
For my wedding, we did wine glasses with m&m's. Half of my guests went to dollar tree after my wedding to get more of the glasses because they loved them so much. People still tell me it was such a great favor (4 years later). The glasses were not personalized.

a set of personalized glasses- they have been tossed
we gave out cookies in a small jar. everyone loved the cookies and the jar came in handy for some.

What favor did you get at the last wedding you attended?
A small jar of M&M's in the bride and groom's colors. We ate them.
Best favor was my cousin's wedding. They made a donation to the ASPCA and put a photo of their dog at each table with a note explaining what they did. I thought that was really cute.
ETA: We gave coasters that you could put a photo in for our favor.

The last few weddings:
Wine stopper- I didn't toss it but I don't use it.
My cousin had a low key wedding( not LI) that was at a BBQ restaurant. They made little jars of BBQ rub. It was different and I've used it.
Candies- we ate them but it wasn't memorable.
Our wedding which was 12 years ago we gave small crystal ice bucket, one per couple. I still have friends/family that use it regularly.

we did mason jars and then had a candy bar and everyone filled their jar with candy.
my first wedding we did a donation to breast cancer. i dont understand how anyone would not like a donation since other favors usually get tossed.

I wouldn't really say there was a favor at any of the weddings I've attended in the last few years. At least not something at the table for you to take, but something edible as you leave.
I've had the NY times with bagels and cream cheese packets, box of Krisy Kreams, coffee mug and black and white cookies and they poured you coffee as you left, candy bar station, and some other stuff similar. For ours we had an arrangement of cookies, pastries and other assortments of stuff with a bag to fill.

I agree with the posters about food or drinks are the best favors.
I love candy bars or maybe even little bottles of limoncello.

lol the last wedding i went to was my own.
we did a candy bar as a favor. ALL THE CANDY was gone by the end of the evening. so i'm going to guess it was eaten.
i'm a fan of the edible/drinkable favors.

I once went to a wedding where the favor was a donation to the Boy Scouts of America. Never a cause that I would have ever supported. Definitely not a "favor" to me or to many guests who were similarly offended.

A donation.
We gave out mini wine bottles - 1/pp.
Edible favors are best. Anything personalized usually gets tossed b/c why do I want something with someone else's name on it?

One of the best favors was bagels, butter and cream cheese LOL. Def hit that up the next morning!
My wedding I did Xmas ornaments. People can put em away and take em out once a year.

Mango flavored hot sauce. (the couples last name is Mango)
Me and DH are not fans of hot sauce so we gave it to someone who was. I imagine people that do like hot sauce were very happy. I thought it was a cute favor.
