What "flavor" cake did you get for your dc's first bday?
I LOVE chocolate cake but I'm wondering if it would be better to order vanilla since I would like my son to have some (not sure if babies can have chocolate cake or if it could make them sick)?

For ds 2nd bday I got a white cake with chocolate mousse frosting and filling. Everyone seemed to enjoy it.

Chocolate won't make him sick. We had vanilla with chocolate filling....I think, but I don't even remember really choosing so who knows.

we got a white cake with strawberry filling for DD #2.
DD #1 had a chocolate cake.
our second DD doesn't like chocolate so that's why we went with the white cake.

i am going totally random on the cake and went banana with cream cheese frosting- he loves bananas - also making vanilla and chocalte cupcakes

We had vanilla, chocolate and chocolate chip cupcakes with some delicious icing (buttercream maybe) that was made green, pink and orange.

the guests had chocolate and my mom made white cupcakes for the smaller kids at the party.

I made an elmo cake for DD. It was just yellow cake with vanilla frosting that I colored to make elmo's face.

What I did was order a cake, with a matching cupcake for DD. I didnt want her to have the fillings in the cake, so the matching yellow cake cupcake was the best thing IMO.

This is what I'm going to do! I ordered chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling and I will make white cupcakes for my son.
