Re: where can I get a 1st bday cake mold
just use a square baking pan and then cut the cake to form a number one (use more than one cake if you have to)

I am not sure where you live, but there is store on main Street in Farmingdale that specializes in cakes and chocolate making.
Chocolate Duck 318 Main Street Farmingdale, NY 11735 516-249-0887
My parents when i was a teen, used to own a candy store on that street, that place has lots of chocolate and cake molds and decorating supplies.

There is a store in Lindenhurst, i forget the name. It is on Wellwood Avenue just south of Hoffman (railroad). They carry a huge selection of cake molds.

I used a rectangular pan and baked two cakes. I cut a long piece out of each and then used a corner and a bottom piece to complete the one. The icing helped keep it together. - I hope this makes sense. I can try and find a picture too.

I dont know whether you can tell in this picture or not - It is the white cake - the chocolate one was just extra cake I had left over and decided to serve and decorate with her name on it.

Re: where can I get a 1st bday cake mold
I saw molds in Michael's craft store. Craft store usually have them. I don't know if there is anything specific. I bet you can find something online.
