What Fun Things Did You Do This Weekend?
With stuff starting to open up and this being the first weekend since NJ lifted the stay at home order, I figure it be nice to share what we did. Get some ideas of things to do.
I will add, that I feel like I’m exploring Nj more even though I lived here for 13 years lol.
I’ll start: Friday - had coffee & lunch with my friend. We sat outside for a couple of hours chatting and I actually got a lot of color on my back.
Sat. - bought to go Margaritas and met my friend and her husband for a picnic at the park. They had kayak rentals, which I didn’t even know existed near me.
Sun. - probably my favorite day. I slept in. My DH went to play golf, so it was my son and I. We walked to get these made to order donuts and sat outside to eat them. Then went for a long walk with the dogs around our neighborhood to burn off those calories.
With no camp this summer, I am going to have to be creative lol.

Re: What Fun Things Did You Do This Weekend?
I went out to dinner on Saturday night and it was AMAZING. I used to go out every week and just kind of took it for granted as a routine. This was so different. It felt amazing after all these months. The weather was beautiful on Saturday night, the patio was so pretty, just perfect. I really appreciated the experience. Went for a bike ride Saturday afternoon and spent time reading by my pool with a frose' that I whipped up myself.
Sunday family came over for bbq and pool.
Had such a nice, almost back to normalcy, weekend.
I can't wait to hit the beach- we just haven't had a chance yet and the mornings have been cool- and we go early. Hopefully next week
I love this time of year.

Friday: got microblading. i had set it as a weight loss goal. it was a little weird to have someone up in my face lol. i'll need some touch up, but i'm happy i did it.
Saturday: slept in and was lazy
Sunday: work... but after work i had a meal at a restaurant. it was nice to eat restaurant food and have it not be out of a plastic container.

Re: What Fun Things Did You Do This Weekend?
I washed my windows & talked to a neighbor on my lawn.
I'm still lving my phase 0 life.
I did get a to-go ice tea form dunkin for the frst time since march & pick up some plants at a nursery. Yes, these could have been done all along, but I am slow to change, so these were fun for me.
Oh, and our farmer's market opened & wasn't crowded ( i think it wa sa surprise), so I bought local strawberries, which I love.

Got my hair done and went to party. It was wonderful to have my hair done, makeup on and “real” clothes.

Good for you, whatever makes your comfortable and happy.
I had a cousin who didn't leave his house till end of May. Not to go to the store, nothing.. had everything delivered. The day of his birthday he walked to the liquor store and the family paraded him on via zoom.

What Fun Things Did You Do This Weekend?
I went to Newport! It was amazing! Stayed at Gurneys, gorgeous views, did the cliff walk, ate out, went to a brewery, visited inside a mansion and rode the Rail Explorers rail bikes on the sunset tour where they had fire pits spaced out for each party. Gorgeous sunsets! It was such a nice weekend off this island!!

I taught a 10 year old Cub Scout how to weld. I haven't taught any kids how to weld in months, so it was nice to have someone over to my shop again.

Re: What Fun Things Did You Do This Weekend?
I had my son's birthday party here on Saturday. It was fun. Everyone was in great spirits. I started it later so it would be a shorter party but nobody wanted to leave. LOL
Yesterday I worked, my DH went boating and then I met up with a couple of friends for drinks in their yard. It was really nice to be child free for a few hours.

Re: What Fun Things Did You Do This Weekend?
The BEST part about having moved to western NJ is the nature. It's just GORGEOUS here!! Everywhere you look is forests, hiking and biking trails, wildlife, parks and beautiful places to relax and picnic. We had the BEST weekend!!
On both Saturday and Sunday, we slept in a little and then had a nice breakfast at home. Later in the morning we packed a cooler with lemonade, fresh fruit from the farm and chips and picked up some sandwiches out at Jersey Mike's and headed into town to picnic. Nobody was around, it was glorious.
On Saturday, after lunch we went hiking for a few hours, then grabbed ice cream at the farm and went home around dinnertime and relaxed out on the deck until the kids had to go to bed.
On Sunday, after lunch we went to a park for some light walking around the lake. Then we set up our picnic blanket and just relaxed under the trees for a few hours. The kids ran around and explored and my husband and I relaxed on the blanket drinking lemonade and talking.
It was a PERFECT weekend, I never wanted it to end.
