What happened to sleeping through the night..

I know I was spoiled with dd sleeping through, starting when she was 2 months old but the past few nights she is waking up in the middle again.

She will even take a 5 1/2, 6 ounce bottle before she goes to bed but then still wakes up really hungry. Do you think she is not eating enough? Do you think that when she starts cereal in a couple weeks she wont be as hungry? Or is this just a phase?

One other question.. she has been sucking on her bottom lip a lot which is new.. does anyone know what this could be for/from?

My guess is probably a combination of teething and maybe a growth spurt. She will also start sleeping better when you start solids b/c it will be more substance. But the sucking on her bottom lip sounds mostly like teething. Does your little one have her bottom teeth yet?

Probably just a phase. Chris went through that around 3 months he woke up for a bottle every night for 10 days and then he stopped. I think it was a growth spurt.

And the bottom lip thing I think its teething, DS just started doing that as well, I think it feels good on their gums (at least thats my guess)

Welcome to the world of teething lol. Christopher slept through the night until he was 4 months old and starting teething.

DS is 4 months and he started do this a few weeks ago...good news is it only lasted one or two nights at a time. I figured its a growth spurt. He is also teething but not in pain from it.

DD also did this around 4 months... she was a 9 hour sleeper from 2 months until then.... she would wake every night in the middle of the night to nurse.... she also started to suck on the lip.... Ped. said it was exploration and that it was a sensation that feels good for the baby. As for sleeping through the night again, this didn't happen until we started solids... so I guess she really was hungry!.... Good Luck!
