Re: what happens if you find something wrong at the walk thru?
We had our house built and at our first walk thru we found about 10 things wrong. All were fixable (paint chipped, curton rod in the bathroom not up, cabinet chipped, jacuzzi not hooked up) Our contracter had everyone in the house within 2 days to fix everything. We did a second walk thru to make sure everything was fixed and then a final walk thru to sign all the papers. Once the final acceptance was signed we closed within a day.

well, the sellers will either disagree that it is wrong/broken and you will have to dispute it, they will agree to fix it before you get possession if you get possession not immediately following closing, or they will give you a credit. there is a standard for how much credit you get for certain things if you are to get one...like $250 for a dishwasher.

where do you find these standard prices??
We have our inspection on Fri-- and I imagine the engineer will point out stuff to be fixed as well as an estimate-- then what happens-- you take it to your lawyer and they hash it out with the other lawyer?

the lawyers have the info. Just tell your lawyer if they find anything and let him deal with it. That's the good thing about having representation!
