What happens when your dog is TOO smart
I'm at work with the dogs and when Ginger wants attention, she'll come to my left elbow and try to nudge my arm up. We're curbing her of that so I ignored her.
Then she put her mouth on top of my arm and stared at me, wagging her butt. I usually can't resist that, and she knows it. But I was strong.
Then... She poked me in my side with her nose! I am VERY ticklish and I'm pretty sure she knows that too. Because when I gasped and jumped, she did it AGAIN!! Wagging her whole body in happiness! 
This is a problem but I can't stop laughing at her.

That is way to cute!! Sandy will poke me with her nose when she wants attn, if that doesn't work she will put her cold nose on any piece of skin she can find. Gets a reaction every time.

Got to love dogs!!
I hear you on that though, when Achilles put his paws on the couch to get our attention we yell at him to get down (and he knows the command) so instead he slides his feet a little lower but says with them on the couch and will continue to slide lower and lower until he's completely off. DH & I joke that this is his way of giving us a chance to change our minds.

My parents' dog is like this. She's a Brittany. She steals my grandmother's dog's toys from her apt. downstairs and hides them under my parents bed. Yesterday, she was annoying their old cat who was laying on the stairs. My mom locked the baby gate (they installed it for my nephew's safety) and I hear hissing. I look up and the dog is poking the cat under the baby gate!
