what info do you need for insurance quotes?
I am going to be starting to look for home owners insurance and wanted to know what I should have handy before I call.

Either the square footage or the amt of acreage. They'll need to know how many bedrooms, bathrooms, and rooms and there location. They'll let you know f you need anything else.

We just used the info sheet that our realtor gave us when we saw the house.

Square footage
Construction of the Home (Brick, Frame)
Year built of the home and update info (Electric, plumbing, roof, etc..)
Names of all parties to be listed as Named Insureds
Alarm info if any
Schedule of Jewelry if you want to add that as well
Pool info if there is one
Fireplace if there is one

if you have the report from your bank appraisal, that has all the info they need.
