What is a good small coffeemaker?

I have one like this... I had gotten it thinking that I was going to make espresso, but I think I've done that maybe twice Chat Icon it just takes up way too much room on my counter!!!!.... it's usually just me drinking coffee in the morning, once in a while for family gatherings I need to make more than a couple cups...

You can also run plain water through it for tea. It has a filter basket like a regular drip. When company comes over I take out the larger 12-cup coffee maker.

I also have the 2-4 cup perculator, but to me it was a pain in the @$$ to clean all the parts every time I wanted a cup of coffee.

I agree! After my hard water trashed my last Kitchenaid maker I went to this on the suggestion of a friend....

I bought the 12 cup Perculator but you can make less cups obviously! No filters.... Chat Icon

I got mine at Linens and Things - you can use the 20% off coupon!

So you just use a filter and coffee grinds, just like a regular coffeemaker? Does it make 1 FULL cup?

It comes with a mesh filter that you can just empty and rinse. No other clean up neccessary. I'll run it through the dishwasher at night.
Yes it makes up to 12oz I believe. I just fill up a mug and dump it in. You use about a tablespoon of grinds, depending on the brand/taste you prefer. I use Starbucks lightnote and use about 1-1/2 tablespoons, for Dunkin Donuts I barely use a tablespoon.
