My DD got some for christmas and she is 9 and my 5 year old niece is also into them. You can get them on amazon or toys r us.

what is a shopkin ?
It's basically a toy where you have to "collect them all" they are tiny themed figures based on sweets, baked good, home pantry items etc.. They have play sets you use them in conjunction with.
My DD is obsessed with them, I usually get them at TRU.

They are basically pencil toppers that belong in a quarter machine but they sell 12 of them for $20 lol my DD is obsessed with them and we can't find them no where, she actually has me buying them on amazon like an idiot lol

my nieces are into these, they are like, little hard plastic toys supposed to be grocery items and such and they put them in little shopping baskets or bags.

My 7 year old DD is into these. We have most of season 1 and season 2  They are basically collectable little figures of food, sweets and household items. We find them at Toysrus and Target.

They're like gold!!!! (I purchased a large lot on Ebay and I make my DD earn them by doing things around the house or playing with my hair.  )
DD trades them with friends in school. It's all I hear about day in and day out. She has the lunch box, some bracelet and I ordered her some store display posters that I plan to laminate so she can track her collection/trades:
I'm waiting for them to come up with an app for the kids to track their collection.
I've also asked my DH to contact them about licensing their products for housewares (cups, plates, bowls, etc..)
