what is bedtime for a 5m old, and does anyone dc wake up at 5:30am on the dot?

So I'm wondering, does anyone's DC wake this early, and where you able to do anything to extend this time?

His bedtime used to be 9pm. We noticed he was falling asleep at 8pm. So we made his bedtime at 8pm. Now he's starting to fall asleep at 7pm... I'm confused, does he really need a 7pm bedtime at 5 months?

He STTN for the most part and we are grateful for that!

eta: he always wake up at 5:30am regardless of what time bedtime was, 7pm, 8pm, or 9pm.

Both my DC;s are notorious of waking up at 5:30am (sometimes even 5 ) Not to mention my 19m old still doesnt SSTN !

Just bought black out curtains to see if they help...Maybe try to make his room darker ???

my son was going to bed at 6:30pm when he was that age. Actually from about 4 weeks old until 10 months, he was going to bed at 6:30pm.

He also went through the 5:30am wakeup call for weeks here and there. I definitely think during that time, the earlier bedtime is a must!

ETA: there was nothing that we did that made a difference in his bedtime. There was no way to extend it. It just happened as he got older.

My DD goes to bed at 8:30 and wakes upp at 4:00am..She is 5 1/2 months old..lately yhough because of her teething she has been waking up at 1:00am, and 4am..I am exhausted!!

dd is like that. her bedtime is between 8-9. no matter what time she goes today shes usually up at 6.

My DS goes to bed at 7:30/8 each night, and USED to sleep in till 8am. Now he wakes at 6/6:30 each day and only wants to play. Oy, I used to have it made LOL

My 5 months old goes to bed around 6:30-7:00. If we are out and about I will try to let him nap at that time and then do his bedtime routine a little later. Either way you slice it, he still gets up at night for one bottle (anywhere from 1-5am) but he does go back to bed, usually until 6:45ish. He will "talk" to himself in his crib for another half hour or so before I get him.

DD is 5.5 months and STTN. She goes down b/t 9-10PM and sleeps will around 7:30-8:30 (she's still sleeping now)

DS started with a 9pm bedtime but, it's gradually creeped up until 7.

He's up for the day anywhere between 5 and 6:30, we are working on keeping him in bed until at least 6am.

yes, at 3mths. He goes down between 830-9 and is up, on the dot at 4am. He does go back down after a bottle though - usually until 9-10

DD is 5.5 months and goes to bed around 830pm and wakes up every single morning at 430am. BUT she does take a bottle and go back down around 5 until 730
