I'm hijacking because I wanted to share, as this was a major obsession for me....
Some of you may be different, but everyone told me to give it a year, and I was like they don't know me, how I eat, exercise, etc - I'll show them....
But, really, I hate to say it - it takes a year... I am 11 mts post partum, and I was looking in the mirror the other day and said - "Oh YEAH - so THATS what my old body looked like!!!" And I'm still not completely there - but it wasn't until month 7 that my body looked even close to where it was before - and I wasn't heavy - people told me 2 weeks PP that it didn't even looked like I had a baby, but I knew my body and my clothes certainly weren't buying it - it took a year of devoted exercise and eating right, along with lots of tears and frustration... but you will get there!!!!
This makes sense - It takes 9-10 months for you to grow to epic proportions so I figure that it will just as long to go back to normal. But I hope it just melts off - I plan on walking my *** off all summer and fall and breastfeeding!

That sounds right. Dammit. I want my body back NOW!
Also, I just got the okay to exercise from my doctor and he told me that as long as I continue to BF my body will hold on to an additional 8lbs or so because the body needs it or whatever, and that when I stop I'll lose that without trying (I hope that's true!!). I have 18lbs to go to reach my pre-preggo weight but my body is totally different. I don't want to have to buy a new wardrobe so I hope I get back down to size sooner rather than later.
