What is everyones NYE dinners? add yours!
I cook a special NYE dinner every year- we stay in on NYE. Here is our menu:
Hot appetizers in the early evening-
Franks in a blanket
Pot stickers
Mozzarella sticks
Pizza rolls
Then a little while later-
Shrimp cocktail
Salad
Porterhouse steak
Baked potatoes
Wine
Dessert-
I made a cake- chocolate cake, w/ white whipped frosting and colored non parreils sprinkles.

Turkey ( yes even tho we ate it at T-Day and Xmas day DH still asked for it)
Baked potatoes
Butternut Squash
String beans
Carrots
Chips, dip, veggies and cheese and crackers as snacks
Dessert are brownies, Ice Cream and fresh fruit

Early Dinner @ home w/ DH
Filet Mingon
King Crab Legs
Mashed Potatos
Cream Spinach
Then we will have appetizers
Piggy in Blanket
Sausage Bread
Chips & Dip

mozarella sticks w/ marinara sauce
shrimp and chorizo skewers
shrimp cocktails
chips and dip
Dinner
baked 4 cheese ravioli
filet mignon in a red wine sauce
garlic mashed potatoes
salad
green beans
Drinks
red sangria and mimosas
Dessert
chocolate cream pie and assorted cookies

We are staying in also this year.
We decided on a mexican theme:
nachos with refried beans, cheese, tomatoes, avocado, black beans and salsa
meat chili
shrimp and vegetable fajitas
rice and beans

DH is sick so we last minute decided to stay in.So dinner was frozen Chinese for me and leftover ziti for him LOL. I am drinking midori sours too. And leftover Christmas candy

We had king crab legs and lobster tails.
MIL sent us home with homemade potato and macaroni salad so we had that instead of baked potatoes.
Then for dessert I made Paula Deen's Molten Lava Cakes.

VERY simple.
antipasta platter (olives, peppers, salami. hot soppresata, cheese)
shrimp fra diavolo and parmiggiano for dh/MIL
salad
bread
wine
then friends brought over colombian food from Pio Pio.
I planned on making guacamole, drinking champagne, and being awake to watch the ball drop..but NONE of that happened

We had crab legs, marinated rib eyes, salad and later in the evening some chicken nuggets and mini hot dogs and a veggie crudite.
And Mimosas.
And champagne and kisses at midnight.
