what is involved in putting a stop payment on a credit card?
I want to do this for something that I have not been charged for yet. I feel wronged by the company.

call the company right now and tell them u are about to be charged such and such amount--u might have to wait for them to actually charge u if it isn't showing yet...then tell them u want to dispute it.
They will send u paperwork to fill out and investigate. If the company is wrong they will do a chargeback to them.
They credit u the amount immed until the investigation is over.
If they feel u owe if it will go back on the card. Good luck

Which card did you use? I had a charge to my HSBC mastercard which was not authorized and they did nothing for me.

citi bank did nothing for me either- only Amex has ever backed me up
