i meant to say also- i used to be the same way about Guilden's mustard, but the Boars head spicey brown (or golden?) mustard is awesome, too.

Heinz ketchup, kellogg's rice krispies, hellman's mayo,campbells tomato soup,Hebrew National salami and corned beef, boars head everything else in cold cuts, Philadlephia cream cheese, land O; lakes fresh cut yellow american cheese, Kraft mac and cheese or velvetta mac and cheese, poland spring water,,, Geez, I guess I really am picky!

pasta (DeCecco, Barilla or Ronzioni)
ONLY Boar's Head cold cuts
Breakstone sour cream

cheese (including cream cheese)

I really only like Boards head cold cuts too.
Oh & we only like International delights flavored coffee creamers-All the other brands taste funny to me.
Just about everything else I'm flexible on. I'm a HUGE coupon shopper, so I try other brands in most stuff.

I agree. the only store brand food related item that I buy are spices, and not always.

I work in the food industry -- most of the store brand products are made by the name brand manufacturers, without the fancy label. No other difference.
There was a show on the news the other day - in blind taste test people who SWORE they would NEVER buy store brand wound up preferring them in about 75% of the cases - and would save 30-40%.
Most restaurants actually serve HUNTS ketchup and put it in Heinz bottles.
But, I have to have Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter, Cottonelle and Bounty.
