Since most of us have done or are doing renovations, some DIY some w/contractors. I know most of us are proud of everything we did & think its all wonderfulChat Icon
but if you had to pick one thing(whole room, decor, design) that you did that really makes you proud or very pleased what would it be? And of course you must post a picChat Icon Maybe some of the LIFers house hunting or waiting to close will be inspired by our hard work!
For me it was our DIY kitchen on a shoestring budget. Actually the countertop post from earlier got me thinking about this.

Your kitchen is beautiful. What is the color? And if you don't mind sharing what was the cost of your project and did you install yourselves?

Very nice Kelly. Your kitchen is one my wife always makes reference to when we were looking for designs for our kitchen.

I don't have much "done" yet on my house. But one thing I do have done that I am very proud of is my "entertainment" factor. I mounted both of my 50" plasmas. One in the living room and one in my bedroom. I will probably take pics of this over the weekend when I have time.

I am definitely "super bowl ready". Chat Icon

In a few months... i'll have my kitchen and bathroom totally gutted out and redone. I'll post pics of that when that gets done.

I would have to say the transformation of our dining room.

It went from a master bedroom with a closet and two windows, to a Dining room with no closet, sliding doors out to the yard, and an opening so you can see the living room. It also has two tone paint, laminate wood flooring, crown moulding, chair rail moulding, and box moulding.

It was a lot of work but it was 100% worth it. I couldnt of done it without my father in law, my wife, my brother in law Tom, and my friend Andrew.

Hey I am guessing my father in law hasnt called you yet. I gave him your number when I saw him last friday. He has been busy because they are redoing their bathroom and doing a little work in the stairwell. When I see him, I will remind him to call you.

I guess when you say buffet, you are referring to the credenza. We actually got it at fortunoffs clearance center. It was $800, but we got it for $500 because it was missing 4 knobs

Thanks so much - now we are looking for a liquor cabinet for the corner on the left of the sliders.

We have a dark wood curio on the left side of the wall closer to the living room.

We bought a dark red rug with gold and green trim in it on saturday at home goods - will have to post picstures of it
