what is the best affordable convertible car seat for a second car?
We currently have 3 Britax Advocates. We just got another car and need to buy either 1 more, or 3 more (2 for my parents if they think they really need them for their car, and 1 for our new car so we have 2 in each.) I can't spend the $$ for all those expensive seats, especially know that most of them won't be used very often. But, I obviously don't want to sacrifice safety either. Recommedations?

MyRide is a great inexpensive seat. Usually can be found for about 130 at Walmart.
Evenflo Tribute, Triumph 65 are both decent, TrueFits can be found less than 130 as well. Scenera is as bare bones as you can get, and they're about $40ish.

Cosco Scenera
We bought this for DH's car and we also take it when we travel (it's lightweight to drag thru an airport - lol). I believe it was like $50 at Sears.

This is exactly what we did - we have a Britax Boulevard 70 in our car. Got the Cosco Scenera for traveling. It was $40 at Walmart.com and I paid $.97 for shipping to my home.
It's definitely bare bones (not too much padding, etc.) but it's highly rated in crash testing and DS was totally fine in it througout our Disney vacation. Fell asleep in it just like in his Britax seat, lol. For grandma/grandpa's car where they would only be riding for short trips here and there, I think it would be totally fine.
