What is the best canned tomatoes for sauce?
I am going to be making lasagna tomorrow and need to go shopping still. I am often disappointed with the canned tomatoes I get.

For me? Cento San Marzano Tomatoes. They are imported. They are expensive. they are the only ones I use now!

Tuttorosso. I've never tried Cento, but I have heard good things - too bad it's so expensive and not sold in a 6 pack at BJs like Tuttorosso is We go through a LOT of crushed tomatoes!

I have tried Tuttoroso but the crushed has Basil in it and I feel like it's too much. I like to add my own fresh Basil.
I used Natures Promise Organic Crushed Tomatoes from Stop & Shop and the sauce came out great.
