What is the best way to ship cookies?
My friend moved to North Carolina and they don't have any bakeries there (or any good ones). She wants me to ship her butter cookies from a bakery. There are some bakeries that ship on their own (we've already done that), but the shipping is $. I was going to buy some and ship them in a tin, but I was wondering if I should wrap each one in plastic wrap, or line them with wax paper? I really don't want her to get a bunch of crumbs. Has anyone ever done this. Thanks.

I've put them in plastic containers with wax paper, but I'm not sure that is the best way. I think Martha Stewart used to have this on her website, but I'm not sure it's still there.

I think martha said to put them in a ziplock with a slice of bread to keep them moist ... but you might want to double check.
